upKeeper has a good default setting for basic inventory, but you may want to include more data. The inventory function in upKeeper is WMI based so you can collect anything from a Windows operating system. To get the inventory to collect more you include more queries or more properties. All information about current used queries and properties can be found in the upKeeper database.
Important! Changes to inventory settings will take affect immediately and will affect the entire installation and all clients. Tests should be done in a separate test environment or in communication with technical personnel from upKeeper Solutions. Implementation should be done in a timeslot where no inventories are running.

To add a new query you have to insert Id, Class, Condition, Title and Namespace. Namespace will default to root/cimv2 if set to NULL.
Id - Enter a number higher than then highest number of current records. Number do not have to be in order and we recommend you to use a high numbers like 1000. Id is used to link properties to a query.
Class - Name of the WMI class that you want to collect information from. Available class can be found in Microsoft Windows documentation. Classes are divided into different Namespaces (see Namespace below)
Condition - Enter condition to filter out specific information (see default queries for inspiration).
Title - This field is used as a common short description shown in reports.
Namespace - Default is root/cimv2. If you specify a class from a different namespace you have to add that namespace in this field.
When you have entered your query you have to add the query properties. Properties is added to the table InventoryProperties.

To add a property to your query you have to enter Id, QueryId, Title and SystemId. Properties can be added to existing queries or new ones.
Id - Enter a number higher than then highest number of current records. Number do not have to be in order and we recommend you to use a high numbers like 1000.
QueryId - Enter number of the query that this property is dependent on.
Title - This field is used as a common short description shown in reports.
SystemId - (upKeeper internal) show specific information on the administration web
Adding your own queries and/or properties is very powerful and give you the opportunity to collect relevant information for you and your organization.
Remember to be creative but do in a test environment.
